Geneviève Castrée est née au Québec en 1981. Elle invente et dessine des personnages depuis l'âge de deux ans. Elle ne l'a pas appris à l'école. À la fin de ses études secondaires, elle prend son diplôme et disparaît. Impatiente et paresseuse, Geneviève n'a aucune formation en "art".
Elle a fait quelques livres et plusieurs expositions un peu partout au Canada, aux États-Unis, en Europe, en Australie et au Japon.
Parfois interdisciplinaire, elle ajoute musique et performance artistique à ses travaux à l'occasion.
Geneviève Castrée habite et travaille présentement au Nord Ouest des États-Unis.
Elle fait aussi des disques et des concerts en utilisant "Ô PAON" pour pseudonyme.
Biography in English:
Geneviève Castrée was born in Québec in 1981. She has been inventing and drawing characters since the age of two. She did not learn it in school. At the end of High School, she took her diploma and disappeared. Impatient and lazy, Geneviève did not study "art". She has made a few books and has had a few exhibitions in countries such as Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia and Japan.
Sometimes known to be interdisciplinary, she adds music and performance to her work from time to time.
Geneviève Castrée currently lives and works in the Pacific-Northwest region of the United States.
She also makes records and plays concerts under the name "Ô PAON".
